So here goes

BUFFET LUNCH/DINNER

Food glorious food, We need it to survive. If you are a foodie, then this one is for you. Do your research on those particular food establishments you would like to dine at beforehand, by checking reviews. And many do takeaway service now. And with buffet meals you actually save money and can get more food.

PLAN A HIKE

Plan a walking hike somewhere, you can also make it adventurous too. And advise your date to wear comfortable shoes. And you’re keeping fit while being on a date, accomplishing 2 goals in one time.

PICNIC DATE

Have a picnic in a Park, or a open space. Make sure both parties bring their own food, look you are saving money. Enjoy your surroundings and the food and the great conversations that will be had. But always check the weather forecast ahead of the time for the date and on the day of the date, as the weather is always changing.

HIT UP A FOOD TRUCK

There are many food trucks out and about, you just have to lookout for them. You’re more likely to see them in the summer season, as the weather is better and people are out and about more. Sample the foods they do, and if you like them, that could be a future date location. Try out new foods and traditional food. Also check if you date has any allergies so you can select accordingly.

GO TO A ICE CREAM PALOUR

If both of you have a sweet tooth, then this would be a good place to go. Desserts galore, Ice-cream, milkshakes and cakes 🙂

SKETCHING DATE

If you are both into arts or looking to try something different, this could be it. On a recent walk in the park near me. I have seen people sketching, drawing what they are looking at, the great outdoors. You’re both getting fresh air and being creative at the same time. Doing something you both will enjoy.

WATCHING THE SUNSET

Maybe not on the first date, but a couple dates in with this same person. This is setting the scene for a romantic date situation. And will not be forgotten easily. A great memory to have on a date.

ASK 59 QUESTIONS

Find a nice location, walking or sitting down somewhere. Then ask away the questions. Get to know the person you are on a date with just a little bit more. And yes this can be done by videocalling, but there is a loss of connection and intimacy this way, and not technology but as humans being.

ASK SEX QUESTIONS

Maybe not on the first date again. But maybe you can if you’re comfortable finding out the answers straight away to the questions asked. And you’re open to answering the same type of questions.

BIKE RIDE

Take a Bike ride, explore your local city or a big park. And remember to check the weather and make sure you are both wearing comfortable footwear.

GO FOR A RUN TOGETHER

If both parties are really into fitness. Try going for a run together, but remember it’s not a competition. Or if not a run, jogging or brisk walking. Figure out a pace that suits both parties.

TRY SOMETHING NEW TOGETHER

You can do this by doing virtual online classes and courses together. Learn something new and complete it together. Remember it’s all about creating good memories and enjoying the experience also.

DANCING

Can you dance?

Do you like dancing?

Try a dancing date, maybe Salsa. But with Salsa dancing you do get a bit hot and steamy if you like that. Or how about Line Dancing or Zumba. Or even a outdoors dance event. Many dances can be done virtually too.

VISIT A GALLERY OR MUSEUM

There are many free galleries and museums and pop-up you can discover by doing a search on the Internet. But I would suggest you go by yourself to suss out the locations and you have knowledge on the best spots and where to go.

GO TO A VIRTUAL GIG

Many music artists and bands have taken to doing Livestream concerts. If you both enjoy listening to music, this would be right up your alley.

COOK TOGETHER

If social distancing restrictions have been relaxed, then you can have a cooking date. Or even a online cooking date making you can cook the same recipes and compare the food at the end.

EXPLORE YOUR LOCAL PARKS

Both of you will have many parks in your areas, it’s all about choosing a Park and have a good stroll in the park while having good conversations. And exploring what is in the park.

  1. I love the idea of asking questions on the first date. I cannot agree more! They don’t have to be sex questions per say, but it’s good to ask these questions to get to know the other person. Personally, I need to know how many partners he has been with which gives me of a sense of the type of guy he is (the less partners a guy has had, the better). The guys I previously dated who have been with multiple partners previously were not a good match, and these relationships did not last long.

      1. I got extremely lucky when I met my soulmate online but I realize this isn’t the norm these days. Then again, I was single/never dated until I was 21 so miracles do happen 🙂 Dating does seem complicated and the complexity is what initially scared me about dating. Being with my husband has been easy though – it wasn’t a headache at all.

You’ll know when you meet the right person and yes, I agree that he is out there waiting for you too 🥰 It’s comforting to think that he’s already here, in this world. You may not have found him yet but you will. Your prince is just lost right now trying to find his princess!
