So are co-wash’s good for natural hair?
I will admit few years ago, I was not a big fan of using co-wash’s as I felt they did not cleanse the hair throughly. But in hindsight it is all about how you use these particular hair products.
I have Type 4 low porosity natural hair. I guess it was because I never really used co-wash’s and never really understood the concept of a co-wash and always stuck with using shampoos to cleanse my hair, until later on.
I have only used a few co-wash’s in my lifetime.
But I really wanted to talk about these lovely products, both from the same brand, but have different ingredients in them for different hair benefits.
And learning sometimes it not good to have non favourable judgements and assumptions on products I have not used, until I have used them to give fair judgement and review, and not be speculations or fear because of unknown ingredients.
So again because I enjoyed using these two products, lets talk about them.
I think I was supposed to do a Youtube video about this topic, but thought it would be better to write a blog post instead. I did do a video on how I use co-wash’s in my hair.
But hear is a video of me using the co-washs and the right way

So what is the purpose of using a co-wash? A Co-wash is a more gentle way to wash/cleanse your hair. Especially if you wash your hair more frequently, for example active fitness routine and your head sweats a lot. As we know sulphate shampoos cleanse your hair very effectively but can strip the hair if used to regular. Using a Co-wash is more gentle on the hair, and doesn’t strip the hair like shampoos do. Also referred to as cleansing conditioners.
But to use Co-wash’s correctly you should rotate using it with a normal shampoo, for example midweek hair wash use the co-wash, on the weekend use a normal shampoo.

So let’s get to the products
